Forests are nature’s best solution for removing carbon from the atmosphere—but they are at grave risk. In addition to massive natural forest fires, rainforests are being deliberately cleared at the shocking rate of 12.4 million acres a year—about an acre per second—to create inexpensive land used for beef, palm oil, soy, and paper production. Together, we can work to stop this destruction.

Trees for Jane raises funds to support the best guardians of the planet’s forests—forest communities and indigenous leaders in partnership with on-the-ground NGOs offer our best chance at stopping deforestation. This is our highest priority because it can make the biggest difference in stopping the climate crisis from getting worse.
