Mia Sorensen started her career at the Daily Show (Comedy Central) followed by directing, editing, and producing projects for clients such as Sony, Mercedes, Lionsgate, and Cosmopolitan.
Since then, she has worked on President Obama and Secretary Clinton’s digital teams as well on a myriad of documentary series. Her priorities have been centered around social and environmental justice, which have led her to work with groups such as Organizing for Action, Everytown for Gun Safety, Marie Claire Magazine, Bloomberg Philanthropies, Conservation International, and doc series like Years of Living Dangerously (Showtime), Death Row Stories (CNN), Weediquette (Vice), and New Jim Crow (Aspireist/USA)
Most recently, she has dedicated her time filming the effects of deforestation on indigenous communities in Brazil.
